Book this vehicle

JuenaCabs provides cab rides, chauffeured car hire, airport transfers, chauffeur service, parcel delivery, tours, and event ticketing across Kenya. This policy explains what personal information we collect on juenacabs.co.ke and how we use it. It is written for the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019.

Who is responsible

JuenaCabs, Bungoma - Kenya. Phone 0707133544. Email info@juenacabs.co.ke. We are the data controller for information you give us when you use the website, the app, or the booking desk.

Information we collect

• Account details: first name, last name, email, phone number, account role, and a hashed password.
• Booking details: name, email, phone, pickup and drop-off, dates and times, passenger count, service type, and special requests.
• Identity for vehicle hire: national ID or passport number, driving licence number when you drive, and the ID or licence file you upload.
• Payment details: amount, method, M-Pesa phone number, transaction ID, receipt number, and payment status. We do not store your M-Pesa PIN.
• Parcel, tour, and ticket details needed to deliver that service, including sender and recipient names, phone numbers, and addresses, or ticket buyer name, email, and phone.
• Technical data: the session needed to keep you signed in, and the security token that protects forms from forgery.

Why we use it

We use this information to create your account, confirm and carry out a cab, hire, parcel, tour, or ticket, send the driver or agent the details they need, take payment, issue receipts, answer calls and emails, and keep records we need for accounting and disputes.

Payments

M-Pesa payments are started through Pesaflux. We send Pesaflux the amount, your M-Pesa number, and a payment reference so the STK push can be sent to your phone. Pesaflux sends us the result, including the receipt number when the payment succeeds. Pesaflux processes that payment data under its own terms.

Who we share it with

• Drivers, agents, and vehicle owners who need the trip, parcel, or handover details to do the job.
• Pesaflux, only for the M-Pesa payment you start.
• Our hosting provider, which stores the site and its database.
• A court, regulator, or law-enforcement body when Kenyan law requires it.

We do not sell personal information.

How long we keep it

Account and booking records stay while the account is active and for as long as we need them to complete the service, handle a complaint, or meet tax and accounting duties. ID and licence copies are kept with the booking they belong to. You can ask us to delete an account that is no longer needed, except where we must keep a payment or booking record.

Your rights

You may ask to see the personal information we hold, correct it, or ask us to delete it where the law allows. You may object to a use that is not required to perform your booking. Email info@juenacabs.co.ke or call 0707133544. You may also complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner in Kenya.

Security

Passwords are stored only as hashes. The live site is served over HTTPS. Staff see booking and payment records only inside the JuenaCabs dashboards.

These terms apply when you use the JuenaCabs website, create an account, or book a cab, chauffeured car hire, airport transfer, chauffeur, parcel, tour, or event ticket. By booking or creating an account, you agree to them.

Our services

JuenaCabs arranges transport and related services in Kenya. A booking is a request until we confirm the vehicle, driver, or ticket. Availability depends on the fleet, the route, and the time you choose. We may decline a booking we cannot fulfil and will tell you.

Accounts

You must give your real name, a working email, and a phone number we can reach. You are responsible for keeping your password private and for activity under your account. Call 0707133544 if you think someone else is using it.

Bookings and identification

Chauffeured car hire and self-drive bookings need a national ID or passport number and a clear copy of that document before the vehicle is released. If you will drive, we may also ask for your driving licence number and a copy of the licence. The name on the booking must match the person who collects the vehicle. Pickup and return times, locations, and passenger numbers on the booking are part of the agreement.

Prices and payment

The price shown at booking is the amount due for the dates, vehicle, or ticket you selected. You can pay by M-Pesa, and where the form offers them, by cash, card, or bank transfer. An M-Pesa payment is complete when we receive a successful confirmation and receipt. Until then the booking stays unpaid. We do not ask for your M-Pesa PIN. Give it only on the Safaricom prompt on your own phone.

Cancellation and refunds

To cancel, call 0707133544 or email info@juenacabs.co.ke before the pickup or event time. If we cancel because we cannot provide the vehicle or service, we refund a completed payment. If you cancel before the service starts, we review the refund against the work already done, including a vehicle already assigned or a ticket already issued. Refunds of completed M-Pesa payments are returned through M-Pesa when we approve them. A trip that has started, a no-show, or a ticket already used is not refunded.

Your responsibilities

• Give accurate pickup details and be reachable on the phone number you provide.
• Use a hired vehicle lawfully, return it on time, and in the condition you received it, apart from ordinary use.
• Do not use the service for anything illegal.

Liability

We are responsible for providing the booked service with reasonable care. We are not liable for delay caused by traffic, weather, road closures, or a payment that your mobile network does not complete. Nothing in these terms limits liability that Kenyan law does not allow us to limit.

JuenaCabs uses a small number of cookies so the site can sign you in and protect forms. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not run third-party analytics cookies.

Essential cookies

• Session cookie. Keeps you signed in and remembers the booking step you are on. It expires after about 120 minutes of inactivity, or when you sign out.
• XSRF-TOKEN. A security cookie that stops another site from submitting a form as you. It is set when you load a page with a form and is required for login, registration, booking, and payments.

These cookies are necessary for the service you asked for. The site does not work correctly if they are blocked.

Remember me

If you tick “Remember me” on sign-in, the browser stores a login cookie so you stay signed in on that device. If you do not tick it, we do not set that cookie. Signing out removes it.

Saved in the browser, not a cookie

On the dashboards, the menu remembers whether you left it open or closed. That choice is stored in this browser under the name juenacabs-sidebar-expanded. It is local storage, not a cookie, and it is not sent to our server.

How to control them

You can delete cookies in your browser settings. Deleting the session cookie signs you out. Blocking all cookies will stop login, booking, and payment forms from completing.
